Crime Branch Cracks Down Online Prostitution Racket in Ambazari Nagpur
The Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch has uncovered an online prostitution racket, resulting in the arrest of a woman identified as Smita, also known as Aarti Prem Dhole (37), from Rambagh. According to the police, the SSB received critical information about the operation of this online sex racket near Hill Top, Ambazari.
Acting on the tip-off, SSB officials organized a sting operation and apprehended the woman while she was facilitating a deal with a customer near the MSRDC office close to Variety Square. During the operation, another woman was rescued by the police.
However, another suspect, Salman, also known as Roshan Dongre (30), a resident of Hill Top, managed to escape and is currently at large. The police are actively searching for him.
A case has been registered under the provisions of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA) at the Sitabuldi police station. The arrest operation was led by WPI Kavitalsarkar, with support from team members Sachin Badhiye, Sheshrao Raut, Ashwin Mange, Sameer Sheikh, Kunal Masram, Nitin Wasane, Kamlesh Kshirsagar, Lata Gavai, and Poonam Shende.
