Crime Branch Unit 4 Busts Four-Member Weapons Smuggling Gang
In a significant operation, the Unit 4 team of the Crime Branch has dismantled a four-member gang involved in smuggling and selling weapons. Following the arrest of the gang members, the police confiscated four pistols and nine cartridges from their possession.
The arrested individuals have been identified as follows: Sikandar alias Sheku Saifuddin Khan (38) from Meposabagh, Ankit Sunil Valmiki (23) from Bejanbagh, Sunny Ganesh Tomskar (22) from Borkar Nagar, Bara Signal, and Aditya Hemraj Padole (20), both from Kamana Nagar. However, their associates, Mukul Samad from Belabagh Chowk, Jabalpur, and Aman Khorde from Betul, remain at large.
According to the police, Sikandar and Ankit were already involved in previous cases, indicating a history of criminal activity. The successful operation by the Crime Branch underscores their commitment to combating illegal weapons trafficking and ensuring public safety. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the remaining fugitives associated with the gang.
