Devendra Fadnavis Denounces Nawab Malik's Inclusion In The

Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, expressed concerns to Ajit Pawar in a letter dated Thursday over Nawab Malik's inclusion in the Mahayuti alliance, which is a coalition made up of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar's NCP group. The action was taken in response to Malik's sighting on Treasury benches during the Maharashtra assembly's winter session in Nagpur.

Prior to this, Nawab Malik, who was spotted on the Treasury benches, sided with Ajit Pawar's group after serving 18 months in prison for money-laundering. Based on charges from the ED, the BJP and the Eknath Shinde group had claimed that Malik had ties to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.

Although Fadnavis expressed worry about the accusations made against Malik, he acknowledged Malik's right to serve as a legislator in his letter. While it is Pawar's right to select party members, Fadnavis pointed out that each constituent party should make sure their actions do not interfere with the Mahayuti coalition.

"We cannot support the beliefs of the previous Chief Minister and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, which maintained him as a minister even after he was detained on suspicion of having ties to traitors," declared Fadnavis. I hope you would take notice of our feelings.
