District Sub-Junior Athletics Championship Scheduled for Feb 2-3
The Nagpur District Athletics Association (NDAA), in partnership with SAI Khelo India Centre and RTM Nagpur University, is set to host the district sub-junior athletics championship on February 2 and 3 at the University synthetic track.
Approximately 1,500 young athletes from Nagpur district will vie for top honours in the Under-8, Under-10, and Under-12 categories. Based on their performances, athletes in these categories will be selected to represent the district at the state championship, scheduled for February 9 and 10 in Sangli.
This competition is exclusive to boys and girls aged 6 to 14 at the district level. A selection panel, including Jitendra Ghordadekar, Atul Wankhede, Vaishali Tidke, Nilesh Sode, and Ramchandra Wani, has been formed to evaluate participants.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation immediately after the competition, and the top four winners in each category will be awarded medals. The organizing committee, comprised of Dr. Sanjay Choudhary, Nagesh Sahare, Pramod Tabhane, Vaishali Fating, Dr. Vivekanand Singh, Dr. Shjarda Naidu, Ramchandra Wani, Dr. Sharad Suryawanshi, Archana Kottewar, Dr. Aditya Soni, Ganesh Wani, and Nitin Dhabekar, provided this information in a press release.
