DJ Operator in Nagpur Booked for Playing Loud Music After Midnight
Nagpur, India: A DJ operator in Nagpur's Khatikpura area has been booked for playing loud music beyond the permissible hours. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday during police patrolling near Zenda Chowk, in front of the Navayuvak Ganesh Mandal.
The police noticed the loud music and questioned the operator, identified as 28-year-old Anush Ajay Singh, a resident of Dharampeth, Zenda Chowk. When asked to provide permission for operating the DJ system, Singh admitted he had none.
Despite being informed about the prohibition on playing loud music after midnight, Singh continued operating the DJ system. This action was in violation of the Environmental Protection Act, which regulates noise levels after certain hours.
A case has been registered against Singh at Sadar Police Station under Section 15 of the Environmental Protection Act, and an investigation is ongoing.
