Doctor Couple Got Injured in a Collision at Sadar Flyover this Morning
Nagpur, India: A doctor couple, Dr Virendra Kale (47) and Dr Lata Kale (47) were seriously injured in a car accident on the Sadar flyover early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 5:30 am when their car was hit head-on by a speeding SUV.
The couple, who run a hospital on Umred Road, were on their way to attend a funeral in Katol when the accident took place. Eyewitnesses reported that the SUV, which had several youths, was travelling at a dangerously high speed before crashing into the couple's vehicle.
Both doctors were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Dhantoli. Dr. Lata Kale sustained multiple fractures and her condition is reported to be critical. Dr. Virendra Kale suffered a fractured leg and a spinal cord injury. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
