"Don't Ask Me to Arrange the Coldplay Tickets, I Don't Have Them", Says Fadnavis
Nagpur, India: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the CNN-News18 Town Hall on Friday, where he addressed the various topics in his speech. However, concerns of Coldplay fans regarding the recent ticketing controversy took the limelight. A complaint had been filed against BookMyShow and Live Nation Entertainment, accusing them of orchestrating a large-scale ticketing 'scam' for the band’s upcoming concerts.
Fadnavis made a light-hearted remark, stating, "Coldplay can be run in five stadiums. It will still have the issue of tickets." The band is scheduled to perform three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21 next year. He further clarified, "Please don't ask me to arrange for these tickets. I don't get the tickets."
In addition to addressing the ticketing issue, Fadnavis has been under scrutiny lately. Just a day prior, a shocking security breach occurred at the high-security Mantralaya, the state secretariat in Mumbai, where an unidentified woman managed to sneak in and vandalize Fadnavis’s nameplate before escaping unnoticed.
The deputy chief minister's remarks reflect both the excitement surrounding Coldplay's upcoming concerts and the challenges he faces in his political role amidst security concerns. Fadnavis manages all the duties and events effortlessly is appeciated by everyone in the party and amongst the people.
