Driver Arrested in Nagpur for Allegedly Molesting Teacher of Specially-Abled Students

Nagpur, India: In a disturbing incident, the Mankapur police have arrested a 36-year-old driver, Pawansingh Vishwajitsingh Thakur, for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old teacher who works with specially-abled students. The incident took place outside the victim's home.

Authorities report that the woman, who teaches special needs children in the Ajni and Pratap Nagar areas, had been stalked by Thakur. The accused, a resident of Mini Mata Nagar, Kalamna, had gathered personal information about her and was following her.

On Sunday, March 16, between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM, Thakur reportedly grabbed the woman’s hand and acted inappropriately, leading to her distress.

Responding to the woman's complaint, the Mankapur police registered a case under Sections 74 and 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and took Thakur into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, with police working to uncover further details. Local residents have raised concerns about the safety of women and individuals with disabilities in the community.
