Drug Bust in Sitabuldi: Two Arrested, 713 Grams of Ganja Seized
Nagpur, India: The Anti-Narcotics Squad of the Crime Branch arrested two drug peddlers on Wednesday night in Sitabuldi, seizing 713 grams of ganja valued at Rs 14,260. The accused have been identified as Nayan Santosh Meshram (21) from Chikhalgaon in Yavatmal district, and Shaikh Shakil Shaikh Salim (39), a resident of Burad Galli, Telipura, Sitabuldi.
Acting on a tip-off, the squad, led by PI Gajanan Gulhane, API Manoj Ghurde, and constables, apprehended Meshram in Burad Galli and found him in possession of the marijuana. During interrogation, Meshram revealed that he was involved in the drug trade along with Shaikh Shakil, leading the police to arrest the latter.
A case has been registered against both men under Sections 8(c), 20(b), (2)(a), and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Sitabuldi Police Station. Further investigations are underway.
