Drunk Husband Kills Wife in Domestic Dispute in Chankapur Village, Near Khaparkheda, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A tragic incident unfolded in Chankapur village under Khaparkheda Police Station late Tuesday night when a 45-year-old man, Siddharth Punaram Gedam, fatally stabbed his wife during a domestic argument. Siddharth has been arrested by the police.
The incident occurred when Siddharth returned home intoxicated while his wife, Hemlata (40), and their son, Vaibhav (18), were preparing dinner. An argument between the couple quickly turned violent, and in a fit of rage, Siddharth attacked Hemlata with a sharp weapon, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
Vaibhav, who witnessed the horrifying attack, rushed to get help from neighbours. Hemlata was immediately taken to the hospital but sadly died from her injuries.
The Khaparkheda Police have registered a murder case. Siddharth was later arrested while hiding in the bushes and is currently in police custody.
