Eknath Shinde to Advertise Farmer Relief Package in Unseasonal Rain
Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, is determined to reveal a relief package aimed at assisting farmers struggling with the aftermath of unseasonal rains in certain regions of the state. The announcement is scheduled for Friday, according to Information Minister Anil Patil.
The unexpected rains have inflicted significant damage upon crops in Maharashtra, prompting Opposition parties to vocally demand compensation and financial aid for affected farmers. Their protests, including demonstrations at the Vidhan Bhavan during the ongoing winter session of the State Legislature, emphasized the urgency of support.
CM Eknath Shinde affirmed the government's solidarity with farmers, acknowledging the hardships they face. He assured that a comprehensive package for affected farmers is imminent, highlighting ongoing assessments of the losses incurred.
