Nagpur, India: A 69-year-old shopkeeper was robbed by two men pretending to be policemen on Tuesday morning. The incident took place near Gaddigdam Chowk under Sadar Police Station.
Yashpal Satpal Khullar, who owns a shop called Yash Photo Copy, went to the market after opening his shop. On his way back, two men stopped him near a bath shop. They told him they were policemen and asked him to remove his gold bracelet and watch for "security reasons." Yashpal agreed and gave them his watch, worth Rs 60,000, but had trouble taking off his bracelet. The robbers helped him and put both items in the trunk of their car.
When Yashpal reached his shop, he realised the bracelet and watch were missing. He understood he had been tricked and reported the incident to the police. A case has been filed, and police are checking CCTV footage to find the suspects. Investigations are ongoing.
