Fake Polishers Steal Gold Chain Worth ₹36,000 from Elderly Woman

Nagpur, India: Two men tricked an 84-year-old woman and stole her gold chain in Chimabai Peth, Timki. They pretended to be polishers who clean metal items.
The victim, Mayabai, is the mother of lawyer Sunil Kisan Dhanvijay (55). Before leaving for work, Sunil saw the men outside his house. His mother told him they were polishing brass, copper, silver, and gold items.
The men offered to clean her gold chain worth ₹36,000. While pretending to polish it, they secretly replaced it with a fake one. They gave her a paper bag and told her to open it after an hour. By the time she realised the trick, the men had escaped.
Sunil reported the theft to Tehsil Police Station. The police have registered a case and are searching for the thieves.
