Family Faces Burns After LPG Leak: Nine Injured
Nine individuals, including four children, sustained burn injuries when a house in the Budhwara area of Anjangaon Surji town, Amravati district, caught fire due to a gas leak. The incident occurred while the men of the Shiva Chinna Gaur family were away for work, leaving only women and children at home.
Apparently, an extra LPG cylinder was stored in another room, and gas leaked from it on Monday morning, filling the house. When a woman turned on the LPG stove for cooking, the house ignited, causing burns to all family members present.
In the chaos that ensued, neighbors rushed to the scene, risking their lives to rescue those trapped inside. The victims of this harrowing ordeal include Bharati Shiva Gaur (50), Gangabai Ramlal Gaur (70), Uma Lakhan Gaur (50), Nikita Akshay Gaur (30), Mamta Santosh Gaur (35), along with children Hansika Santosh Gaur (12), Ayush Akshay Gaur (3), and Piyush Santosh Gaur.
Efforts to save the injured were promptly initiated, with all individuals rushed to the rural hospital in town for urgent medical attention. Under the care of Dr. Amol Nalat and his team of dedicated medical professionals, the victims received immediate treatment. However, the severity of Nikita Gaur's condition necessitated her transfer to another medical facility for specialized care.
