Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan has landed in hot water after her recent comment about Holi, calling it a festival of “chhapris,” sparked outrage on social media. Vikash Fhatak, better known as Hindustani Bhau, has filed a complaint against her at Khar Police Station, Mumbai, accusing her of hurting Hindu sentiments.

According to reports by IANS, Bhau expressed his disappointment over Farah's controversial remark, claiming it disrespected a sacred festival and could potentially incite communal disharmony. His complaint demands strict action under sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

What Did Farah Khan Say?

The controversy began when Farah, who is currently seen on Celebrity MasterChef, commented on the festival of Holi, stating, “Saare chhapri logon ka favourite festival Holi hota hai,” implying that Holi is favored by people she labeled as “chhapris.”

Her remark quickly went viral, leading to a social media storm. Netizens were furious, accusing Farah of insensitivity and questioning her choice of words. One user commented, “Do you ever talk about any of your festivals? Disgusting," while another added, “What da heck does she mean …. Aur chhapri… ha ha ha look who’s talking.”

Not the First Controversy
