Fatal Attack Near Kanhan Claims Life of Man
Kanhan, India- A tragic incident occurred near Kanhan where a man, Nitin Khushalji Thakre (35), was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants. The incident took place on the Bakhari-Mehandi road as Nitin was returning home after admitting his pregnant wife, Deepali, to a hospital in Nagpur. Deepali, who was nine months pregnant, gave birth to a baby girl around 3 pm, shortly before the crime occurred.
According to reports, Nitin had returned to his in-laws' place in Old Kamptee at 4:30 pm and left for his village around 7:30 pm. During his journey, he was intercepted and fatally attacked with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death. Naresh Dhone, a former Sarpanch of Bakhari village, alerted Nitin's father about the tragedy early Wednesday morning.
Upon receiving the information, Kanhan police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The body was sent for post-mortem examination. Police officers, including PI Umesh Patil and PSI Matane, inspected the crime scene and registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
