FIR Filed Against Nagpur MLC Parinay Fuke in Domestic Abuse Case
Nagpur, India: Nagpur BJP MLC Parinay Fuke and his family have been named in an FIR following a domestic cruelty complaint filed by his widowed sister-in-law, Priya. The complaint, lodged at Ambazari police station, accuses Fuke, his parents, and others of harassment and fraud.
Inspector Vinayak Golhe confirmed that the case has been filed under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with domestic violence. The FIR, registered on August 26, includes Parinay Fuke, 43, his father Ramesh Fuke, 72, mother Rama Fuke, 67, wife Dr. Parineeta Fuke, 40, and brother Nitin Fuke, 40. Priya has also accused Parinay of threatening her.
In her complaint, Priya alleged that her troubles began after her husband, Sanket Fuke, passed away in 2022. She claims that Sanket had undergone a kidney transplant before their marriage, but this was kept hidden from her. After his death, Priya says she was pressured to hand over her gold ornaments and that Sanket’s assets were transferred to her in-laws. She also accused the family of forging her signature to transfer over ₹3.30 crore from her bank account.
Parinay Fuke denied the allegations, stating that Priya and Sanket had frequent disputes during their marriage, and there were ongoing conflicts between Priya and his parents. He said he had tried to mediate these issues but was surprised by Priya’s decision to file the complaint.
“I urged her to resolve the family matters privately, but she went public with the allegations. Cases under Section 498A are often misused, and while the conflict is primarily between Priya and my parents, she has unfairly implicated me and my wife,” Fuke told the media.
