Fire Breaks Out at Nagpur Railway Station: Flames Erupt in Diesel-Laden Goods Train

Nagpur, India: Panic spread at Nagpur Railway Station on Sunday, February 16, after a fire broke out in a container of a diesel-laden goods train passing through the station. The incident, which occurred in the afternoon, caused chaos as diesel leaked onto the platform and ignited.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials acted swiftly, managing to douse the flames and preventing a major disaster. However, a woman sustained burn injuries in the incident.
At the time of the fire, the Telangana Express was stationed at the platform. Rumours quickly spread that the blaze had started in the train’s pantry car, leading to panic among passengers. Many rushed to exit the train in fear, but railway officials intervened in time to control the situation and prevent further chaos.
Authorities have now launched an investigation into the cause of the fire to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.
