Fire damages property worth Rs 3 lakh in Anguli Mal Nagar, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A major fire broke out at a two-story house in Anguli Mal Nagar, near Patankar Chowk, on February 21, causing damage worth around Rs 3 lakh. The incident occurred at approximately 5 pm at the residence of Vishal Umashankar Sharma.
The fire started on the first floor of the house. After receiving the emergency call, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) fire and emergency services team quickly arrived at the location. Led by Sub Officer Ravindra Trivedi, the firefighters managed to control the fire on the first floor, preventing it from spreading and averting a more severe disaster.
Officials stated that various household items stored on the first floor, such as two almirahs, an air conditioner, a washing machine, electrical wiring, official documents, and Rs 5,000 in cash, were destroyed in the fire. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters, including officers from the Civil Lines fire station, assisted in the operation with the help of two fire tenders. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Authorities have urged residents to be cautious and follow fire safety rules to prevent such incidents. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
