Fire Erupts in Koradi Apartment Due to Gas Leak
Koradi, Nagpur - Early Tuesday morning, residents of Kambale Tower near Tejaswini High School on Saoner Road in the Koradi area were alarmed when a fire broke out in a second-floor apartment. The cause of the blaze was identified as a leaking LPG cylinder in the kitchen of Flat No 206.
Deepak Sarkar, who lives in the affected flat, reported that the fire started when gas from the cylinder ignited, quickly engulfing the kitchen in flames. The incident led to thick smoke billowing out, causing panic among the occupants of the six-story building. Many residents rushed outside for safety.
Prompt action followed as Sanjay Bhongade and Vijay Barde alerted the local authorities at Mahadula Nagar Parishad. In response, Nagar Parishad workers Subhash Chandrashekhar, Rohan Wankhede, and Ashish Kamble arrived swiftly at the scene. They managed to extinguish the fire using buckets of water.
Fortunately, there were no casualties reported. However, the fire has raised concerns about safety measures in the building, prompting around 40 flat owners to demand the installation of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment at Kambale Tower.
