Fires Break Out in Different Locations of Nagpur City
Several fires occurred in various areas, keeping firefighters busy on Monday.
In Mominpura, a fire broke out at an open scrap yard around 4:45 pm. Firefighters swiftly responded, deploying three fire tenders to control the blaze within an hour. The fire, fueled by discarded tyres, also engulfed three scrap cars, resulting in a loss of material worth ₹2.8 lakh. Hindered by road closures due to construction, fire tenders faced difficulties reaching the site.
Another incident took place at Kalamna market, where a machine caught fire. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames within an hour.
Additionally, a fire at an electric DP in Kalamna caused property damage estimated at ₹6 lakh.
