Flight Training Resumes at Nagpur Flying Club After a Year’s Pause

Nagpur, India: The Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) has resumed operations after nearly a year of inactivity due to the lack of a runway at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The club has now shifted flight training to Morwa Airport in Chandrapur, where trainees logged an impressive 22 hours of flying time in just two days.

The training sessions gained momentum following a Lokmat Times report on 11 February, highlighting the delays in flight hours for students. By 13 February, trainees were back in the air, completing their pending hours. On the first day alone, nine trainees logged a total of 9.45 flight hours, followed by 12.05 hours on the second day.

With the accelerated progress, two trainees are expected to earn their Commercial Pilot Licences (CPL) by the end of the month. This will bring the total number of CPL graduates from the current batch to seven, marking a significant achievement for the flying club.
