Food Poisoning Outbreak Affects 30 in Buldhana District During Navratri
Vidarbha, Buldhana, India: Around 30 people from Pimpalgaon Sonara and Savana village in Buldhana district suffered from food poisoning after eating ‘bhagar’ on October 4. The women were immediately rushed to the primary health centre in Sakharkherda Hospital. All of them are reported to be out of danger.
Narayan Thosare and Rekha Tosare from Pimpalgaon, Sonara village, were the first to complain of vomiting after they consumed ‘bhakri made from ‘bhagar’ on the first day of the Navratri fast.
Later, other women from the village faced the same problem, and they were rushed to the primary health centre at Sakharkherda. Among those affected by the food poisoning were Sangit Rajput, Laxmi Raut, Jagan Raut, Anita Tosare, Chandrakala Palaskar, Geeta Bhagile, Chandrabhaga Palaskar, Savita Binorkar, Shashikala Thosare, Laxmi Thosare, Nanda Thosare, Darshan Thosare, and Prasad Thosare.
They were treated at Sakharkherda PHC. Some women from Savana village in Chikhli tehsil also suffered food poisoning and were undergoing treatment.
