Former Nagpur MLC Prakash Gajbhiye Undergoes Surgery in Srinagar
Nagpur, India: Former Nagpur MLC and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Prakash Gajbhiye underwent surgery at Sher-E-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar after suffering a head injury.
Gajbhiye slipped on ice in Sonmarg on January 24 and sustained a serious injury. Before the surgery, he was in a coma for some time but recovered after the operation.
State Working President of NCP Youth Wing, Shailesh Tiwari, shared that former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had requested senior party leader MP Supriya Sule to intervene. Sule then contacted Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, who instructed hospital authorities to provide special care for Gajbhiye.
Authorities initially planned to airlift Gajbhiye to Delhi for further treatment, but doctors advised against moving him. Surprisingly, news of the accident reached many people quite late.
Gajbhiye is now recovering, and his condition is reported to be stable.
