France's head coach reveals that Mbappe is in a complicated situation
At the San Siro in Milan on Monday, France defeated Italy 3-1 in their Nations League match despite Kylian Mbappe's absence. Guglielmo Vicario gave up an own goal in the 33rd minute to make it 2-0 after Adrien Rabiot had started the scoring in the second minute.
Then, in the 35th minute, Andrea Cambiaso gave the home team the lead, and in the 65th minute, Rabiot scored the game-winning goal.
Once again, France's selections for the international break did not include Mbappe. He reportedly truly objected to being called up. According to L'Equipe, Mbappe would rather remain in Spain than play for his country.
According to additional reports, Mbappe no longer wants to be a member of France, at least not while Didier Deschamps leads the squad. According to reports, the two are falling apart.
In an interview with TF1, Deschamps acknowledged that the player is going through a "complicated" phase right now. "Yes, he is in a difficult situation, but that doesn't negate his accomplishments or imply that he can't return to his prior level of performance, even though he was less productive in 2024. Because of exposure, even the smallest word, social media, and the ensuing backlash, the situation is different now," he remarked.
