Gang Clash in Tajabad: Two Injured, Sakkardara Police Arrest Accused

Nagpur, India: Nagpur witnessed a violent gang clash in Tajabad on Sunday, March 9, leaving two people injured. The incident, which took place due to an old rivalry, resulted in injuries to Shakeel Khan Babbu Khan and Mohammad Zeeshan. The police have arrested the accused, Sonu alias Mujammil Isteyaq, in connection with the attack.
According to reports, the fight began when Sonu was allegedly abused by a criminal named Rafiq. When Sonu protested, Rafiq and his group reportedly attacked him. Seeking revenge, Sonu later confronted Shakeel Khan near Corner Paan Palace and attacked him with a weapon, injuring Zeeshan when he tried to intervene.
Following the attack, Shakeel filed a complaint, leading to Sonu’s arrest by the Sakkardara police. However, the situation took another turn when Sonu’s supporters lodged a counter-complaint against Rafiq’s group, accusing the police of not taking action against them.
Further investigations have revealed that Sonu’s father and uncle were previously involved in a drug trafficking case related to mephedrone (MD). Police suspect that ongoing disputes over illegal activities may have fueled the gang rivalry. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation to prevent further violence in Tajabad.
