Girls from the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management wins the badminton title
The Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Institute of Management women's team was victorious in the Inter-collegiate Badminton competition, which was arranged by the RTM Nagpur University Physical Education and Sports Department.
LAD College lost to Dr. Ambedkar Institute 2-0. Nehal Gosavi won the singles match against Devika Kawle in straight sets (21-10, 21-11), and the doubles match between Nehal and Ananya Durugkar defeated Devika-Chaitali Nayye 21-13, 21-15.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College defeated the YCCE squad to take third place. Astha Ganveer was defeated by Shreya Nandanwar 21-17, 21-17. Astha-Shivali Deshpande defeated Shreya-Rutuja Dautpure 21-16, 21-12 to tie the game at one. Shiwali Despnade won the third singles match, defeating Rushika Sharma 21-3, 21-11, to secure the third spot.
Earlier, Dr. Ashok Dawande of the Arts and Science College in Pulgaon officially opened the competition. Dr. Sharad Suryavanshi, Director of Sports and Physical Education.
Dr. Jayant Burade, the tournament chief, was there along with others. Rahul Hanwante, Umesh Kolam, Dr. Suryavanshi, and Dr. Jatant Burade, members of the RTMNU Senate, attended the prize distribution event as guests. The RTMNU Management Council member Ajay Chavan presided over.
