Gold Bangle Stolen from Elderly Woman in Imamwada by Fake Cleaners
Nagpur, August 7, 2024 – In a recent incident at Imamwada, Nagpur, a 59-year-old woman fell victim to a fraudulent scheme by two unknown men. According to the complaint filed at Imamwada Police Station, the elderly woman was at home when the men approached her, claiming they could clean gold, silver, and brass items.
The men initially cleaned a brass incense stand given to them by the woman, which led her to trust them. She subsequently handed over a gold bangle worth ₹80,000 for cleaning. The men then asked her to fetch turmeric from inside the house, during which they stole the gold bangle and fled.
Sub-Inspector Barve, handling the case at Imamwada Police Station, has registered a complaint against the two unidentified suspects under Section 318(4) of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation is currently underway as police work to track down the perpetrators.
