Hailstorm Alert for Nagpur and Nearby Areas on March 17
Nagpur and its neighboring areas are on high alert as the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) issued a warning about possible hailstorms from March 16 to 18. The alert, marked with a ‘Yellow Alert’ signal, covers Vidarbha region, which includes Nagpur, advising people to be ready for potentially rough weather.
According to the latest forecast from the Weather Department, Nagpur, along with Bhandara, Gondia, and Chandrapur districts, might experience hailstorms and strong winds on March 17 and 18. Similarly, residents of Wardha and Gadchiroli districts should expect strong winds from March 16 to 18. However, places like Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, and Washim are likely to have dry weather without any major disturbances.
Though hailstorms and gusty winds can be worrisome, there's a bit of good news for most of Vidarbha as cloudy conditions are expected, offering a break from the hot weather. On the other hand, Akola, Buldhana, and Washim districts are likely to stay dry with little change in weather expected over the next few days.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather alerts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during this period of potentially rough weather.
