Haryana Steelers wins the PKL title for the first time ever
Following their victory over the Patna Pirates in Pune on Sunday, the Haryana Steelers, who were the league stage winners in PKL Season 11, put on an incredible show on the mat.
The Haryana Steelers won the final by a score of 32–23, with Show Stopper Shadloui in full force. Shivam Patare scored nine points, Mohammadreza Shadloui scored seven, and Vinay added six more for the victorious Haryana Steelers.
According to a PKL news release, the winners received INR 3 crore, while the Patna Pirates, the runners-up, received Rs 1.8 crore. The defense of the Haryana Steelers, commanded by Jaideep and Rahul Sethpal, demonstrated why they are regarded as one of the top teams in the league by making it very difficult for the Patna Pirates to score.
But as the first half went on, Gurdeep and Sudhakar managed to get the Patna Pirates back within striking distance of their rivals. The Haryana Steelers won the match at the end of the forty minutes, earning them their first-ever PKL championship.
