Heavy Rain Alert in Nagpur District on 15th and 16th September: Orange Alert Issued
The India Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in Nagpur district on September 15 and 16. Authorities have issued an orange alert and advised residents in low-lying areas and near rivers and streams to relocate to safer locations.
In addition, the Totladoh reservoir has reached 99.92% capacity due to rainwater inflow from Madhya Pradesh. Two gates have been opened to release excess water, with authorities urging villagers to exercise caution. ML Sahu, the head of the meteorological department, mentioned the presence of a low-pressure zone on the Odisha coast in the Bay of Bengal.
