Here are Traffic Diversions in Nagpur for Eid-e-Milad Procession on September 16

Nagpur, India: On September 16, 2024, the Muslim community in Nagpur will celebrate Eid-e-Milad, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad. To commemorate this occasion, the Central Siratunnabi Committee will organize a grand procession, which will pass through various parts of the city.

The procession will start from Mirfaiz Masjid and pass through several major intersections, including Sevasadan Square, Geetanjali Square, Dosarbhavan Square, Bhagwaghad Square, Momimpura Square, Timki Square, Golibar Square, Ganjakhet Square, and more, before concluding at Sevasadan Square.

Traffic Regulations in Place To manage the traffic and ensure public safety during the event, Nagpur's Traffic Police will implement various traffic diversions. From 6:00 AM on September 16 until the end of the procession, traffic will be restricted on Central Avenue Road from Santra Market Overbridge to Telephone Exchange Square via Jaystambh Square.

Key Traffic Diversions Include:

  1. From Telephone Exchange/Darodkar Square: Traffic heading towards Agrasen Square via CA Road will be diverted towards Badkas Square and Tangastand Square from Gandhi Statue Square.
  2. From Sona Restaurant Square: Traffic will be redirected to Gandhibagh and Buddhukhaw Minara.
  3. From Chitnis Park Square: Traffic will be diverted to Badkas Square and Maulana Azad Square, except for sub-processions.
  4. Other Diversions: Several other traffic diversions will be enforced across major roads and intersections to ensure the procession proceeds smoothly without disrupting city traffic.

The traffic police have the authority to make additional real-time diversions as needed to manage the flow effectively.

Citizens and commuters are advised to avoid using the procession routes during the specified times and cooperate with the traffic authorities to minimize inconvenience.
