'Hey Baapu': Khichdi 2 To Release on Theatres This Diwali
Guess what? The funny "Khichdi" gang is back for another round of fun and laughter! The next movie in the super-popular comedy series, called "Khichdi 2," is all set to hit the big screens this Diwali. The cool people who make the movies, called HatsOff Productions, told us this exciting news on Friday and even showed us a little sneak peek of what's going to happen.
Remember the awesome Parekh family? Well, they're making a grand comeback in "Khichdi 2 - Mission Paanthukistan." This time, they're bringing even more jokes and crazy adventures. A clever person named Aatish Kapadia wrote the story and directed the movie. And guess what? The actors who play the characters we love are coming back too! Supriya Pathak will be Hansa, Rajeev Mehta will be Praful, Anang Desai is Babuji, Vandana Pathak is Jayshree, and Kirti Kulhari is Parminder. Even the funny Jamnadas Majethia will be there as Himanshu, and Farah Khan will do a special appearance that's going to be super cool.
"Khichdi" started as a play on a stage and then became a TV show on StarPlus in the early 2000s. It's about a big, happy family from Gujarat who live in Mumbai and get into all sorts of funny situations. People loved watching it because it made them laugh a lot.
After the first show, the "Khichdi" story continued with more seasons. There was a second season called "Instant Khichdi" in 2005, and a third one came out on StarPlus in 2018. And guess what? They even made a movie about "Khichdi" in 2010, so we could see our favorite family on the big screen.
