Hudkeshwar Police Arrest Gang Behind 12 Thefts, Stolen Items Worth ₹10.90 Lakh in Nagpur

Nagpur, India: The Hudkeshwar Police have successfully dismantled a well known gang of burglars responsible for multiple thefts throughout the city.

Those arrested include Sameer Domendra Humne (18) from Amar Nagar; Ashutosh, also known as Lucky or Nakkatya Shankar Raware (20), from Amar Nagar; and Gaurav, also known as Tenali Raju Raut (18), from Ashok Nagar, Kanhan. Another accomplice, Mann Chaure, is still at large.

The arrests follow a bold burglary committed on December 17 at the home of Rajendra Pandurang Dahikar in Adiwasi Nagar.

The Hudkeshwar Police registered a burglary case and launched an investigation. Led by Senior Police Inspector Dnyaneshwar Bhedodkar, with assistance from PI Nageshkumar Chatarkar and other officers, a special team was assembled to apprehend the suspects.

After conducting extensive searches, the police successfully tracked down and arrested the three suspects. They also detained their minor accomplices.

The police recovered gold and silver jewellery valued at ₹10.90 lakh in cash from the gang.

Further investigations revealed that the gang was responsible for 11 other burglaries in various areas, including Hudkeshwar, MIDC, Ramtek, Kapil Nagar, Kanhan, and Kamptee police jurisdictions.

The police have initiated a search for the gang’s absconding member and are investigating potential connections to other unresolved cases.
