Husband Attempts Suicide After Fatal Attack on Wife in Nandanvan
Nagpur, India: A shocking incident took place in the Juna Bagarganj area of Nandanvan, where a man stabbed his wife and later attempted suicide. Their 14-year-old son was also injured while trying to stop the attack. All three have been admitted to the hospital, and police are investigating the case.
The accused, Ravi Nandurkar (36), who works in two-wheeler seat covers and shoe stitching, attacked his wife, Pinky, with a knife around 4 am. Hearing the commotion, their son Piyush woke up and tried to intervene, but Nandurkar stabbed him as well, injuring his finger.
Despite her injuries, Pinky managed to escape and collapsed outside the house. The landlord immediately called the police. The Nandanvan police arrived quickly and took all three to the hospital, where Pinky remains in critical condition.
The motive behind the attack is still unclear. The family had moved into the area just 20 days ago, and neighbours do not know much about them. Police have started an investigation to understand what led to the incident.
