IMD Predicts Scorching Summer for Vidarbha, Doctors Advise Caution

Nagpur, India: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Vidarbha will face an extremely hot summer this year. As temperatures rise, doctors are advising people to take extra care, especially students giving their final exams and working professionals moving between AC and non-AC environments.
The sudden heat can cause health problems like dehydration, tiredness, and heatstroke. Students preparing for board exams are at higher risk because of long study hours, stress, and irregular eating habits.
Dr Manish Jadhao, a physician, said that staying hydrated is very important. He explained that many students forget to drink enough water while studying, which can lead to dehydration. He advised parents to make sure that children drink plenty of water, fresh fruit juices, and eat light, healthy meals.
He also suggested that a short afternoon nap can help students stay energetic. Experts have also warned people to avoid going out in the afternoon, wear light cotton clothes, and stay cool indoors to stay safe in the heat.
