In London, Tushar Deshpande went through an ankle surgery
The bowler for Mumbai and India, Tushar Deshpande, had ankle surgery in London after being unable to play in the Duleep Trophy's second round.
The right-arm pacer posted on social media on Tuesday to disclose his operation. Mumbai's 30-man probable roster for the forthcoming Ranji Trophy season did not include him.
He wrote, "This post serves as an update regarding my ankle surgery, which was completed yesterday and went extremely well." In five matches, Deshpande took 15 wickets to help Mumbai win the Ranji Trophy for a record-tying 43rd time in the 2023–24 season.
On October 11, the split-format Ranji Trophy 2024–25 will get underway with an away match between the reigning champions and Baroda at Vadodara.
