India defeats Germany 5-3 after waking up after halftime
Craig Fulton must have said something at halftime that changed the course of the match, even if he claimed he wasn't upset. India appeared listless, much like they did in their 0–2 defeat to Germany on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Germany had a 1-0 lead at halftime. However, India returned from the half with renewed energy and scored four goals in the third quarter. At the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here, they defeated Germany 5-3 in the second and final Test after adding another in the last quarter.
It was determined that a shootout would determine the series winner after both sides won one game each in the two-match series, which Germany won 3-1. Aditya Arjun Lalage of Maharashtra made his debut, Amit Rohidas participated in his 200th international match, and Sumit his 150th.
