Indian Air Force Personnel and Nephew Injured in Road Accident

A personnel of the Indian Air Force (IAF), along with his seven-year-old nephew, sustained serious injuries in a road accident on Saoner-Pandhurna Road, within the jurisdiction of Kalewadi Police Station area. The injured individuals have been identified as Nilesh Chindurao Khatarkar (30), a resident of Amla, Dist - Betul, and Priyansh Ajay Nagle (7). Nilesh's mother, Asha, sustained minor injuries in the accident, according to police sources.

Nilesh, employed with the Indian Air Force and stationed in Nagpur, was en route to Nagpur with his nephew Priyansh and mother Asha on a Bullet motorcycle (GJ-12/EB-8805) when the incident occurred. A truck (CG-04/LH-0379) traveling from the wrong side collided with their two-wheeler.

Both Nilesh and Priyansh fell on the road and sustained grievous injuries. Kelwad Police officials, including API Rakesh Sakharkar, promptly rushed to the spot and transported the injured persons to the hospital for medical treatment.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident and registered a case against the truck driver for rash driving and causing grievous injury by negligence. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent such tragic occurrences.
