Nagpur, India: Central Railway has introduced a QR-based 3D/2D Wayfinder Web Portal, named “Marg Darshak,” at Nagpur Station to improve passenger convenience. The innovative tool was launched by Dharm Veer Meena, General Manager of Central Railway, and Manish Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Nagpur. Passengers Mayuri Agarwal and Suresh Babu were the first to use the kiosk, which aims to simplify station navigation.
“Marg Darshak” is a digital tool aimed at revolutionizing navigation at Nagpur Station. Passengers can scan QR codes available on kiosks throughout the station to access various services that enhance their overall experience.
Comprehensive 2D maps provide clear guidance, helping passengers easily navigate the station and plan their routes in advance.
Interactive 360-degree 3D views allow passengers to virtually explore the station’s layout, offering a better sense of direction and orientation.
Real-time voice guidance provides step-by-step directions to assist passengers in navigating the station efficiently.
Live location tracking with blue-dot navigation helps passengers easily find their way around the station.
In critical situations, passengers can access immediate guidance to find safety points and emergency exits.
“Marg Darshak” is designed to ensure inclusivity, offering a smooth and user-friendly experience for all passengers, including Divyangjan and senior citizens.
