Gwalior Burglar Arrested in Nagpur, Stolen Goods Worth ₹19.66 Lakh Recovered

Nagpur, India: Nagpur’s Crime Branch has arrested a Gwalior burglar and recovered stolen items worth ₹19.66 lakh, including cash, a car, and valuables.

The theft happened between December 25 and 26, 2024, at an office in Sushila Layout, Sugat Nagar. Yogesh Sahajramani, a local businessman, discovered his office had been broken into, and ₹14 lakh in cash and a DVR were stolen.

Following the complaint, the police investigated the case and arrested Sachin Prem Singh Gauhar (42), from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. During questioning, Gauhar admitted to the crime and confessed to committing several other burglaries in different parts of Nagpur.

The police recovered stolen goods worth ₹7.48 lakh, including mobile phones and clothes, and also seized a Hyundai i20 car worth ₹12.18 lakh from Gauhar.

Gauhar, a repeat offender, is believed to be part of a gang that commits burglaries across states. He has been handed over to the Jaripatka Police for further action.
