"It is my dream to put India on the Motorsport Map," says Kush Maini
In his capacity as a development driver for the Formula One side, 23-year-old Indian F2 driver Kush Maini recently tested the potent vehicle while driving the BWT Alpine F1.
This was the racer from Bengaluru's first complete Formula 1 test, and he was ecstatic to get the opportunity. Although he only completed one lap during his test run in 2021, the most recent test gave the driver significantly more time behind the wheel of the formidable machine.
He talked about his experience taking control of the formidable Formula One car, referring to it as the best in the sport. He highlighted the stark difference in the car's power and performance levels by drawing a contrast with the car's experience on the Formula Two circuit.
"They move through the fast turns with such speed. For example, we were driving five or six seconds faster at the Red Bull Ring than we were at F2, Maini stated.
He continued by saying that after establishing his credibility on the track and earning a promotion to the top division of the sport, it would be premature to discuss making adjustments.
“I think step one for me is to make it myself. I think achieving the dream of reaching Formula One will open doors and help me proceed and improve this culture in our country. That is definitely a big goal of mine,” he reiterated.
