Kapilnagar Police Return 10 Missing Mobile Phones in Special Event
Nagpur, India: In a special event organized at Kapilnagar Police Station, officers returned 10 mobile phones to their rightful owners. The phones recovered through advanced technical methods and investigative efforts, were valued at approximately ₹2,42,142. The event was held between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM as part of the Ganesh Utsav celebrations.
The phones were reported missing in August 2024, and Kapilnagar Police swiftly acted on the complaints. Applicants who had lost their phones expressed gratitude to the police for their efficient work in recovering the devices.
Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Mr Niketan Kadam and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Jaripatka Division) Mr Santosh Khandekar, the team has consistently delivered results. In 2024, 76 missing phones have been returned to their owners, and in the past two years (2022 and 2023), 200 phones were successfully returned.
The successful recovery operation was carried out by Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Andhale, Assistant Sub-Inspector Gauri Hedau, and Cyber Assistants Ashish and Sachin Tangle.
The police urged citizens to continue reporting lost devices, assuring them that efforts will remain ongoing to track and recover stolen property.
