Nagpur Station Redevelopment: Key Entrance and Platform Adjustments for Passengers

Nagpur, India: The west side main entrance of Nagpur Railway Station, near the RMS building, will be closed to passenger vehicles due to ongoing construction. This closure is necessary to keep passengers safe and ensure the construction progresses smoothly.

To help travellers, a new entry point for pick-up and drop-off services has been set up 100 meters from the west entrance, near Ganesh Tekdi Mandir. A separate car parking entrance will also open next to the main gate. The two-wheeler parking and prepaid auto stand within the station premises will be moved in front of the RPF office, with marked entry and exit points.

Passengers are encouraged to follow the signs and allow extra time when arriving at the station to avoid any delays. This temporary setup will remain until the construction work is finished. For more updates, passengers can visit the official website or call the helpline number. The railway authorities appreciate everyone's cooperation during this time.

Central Railway's Nagpur Division will temporarily close Platform No. 8 at Nagpur Railway Station to install a new Foot Over Bridge (FOB). The platform will be closed from 9:00 PM on September 6, 2024 (Friday) until 5:00 PM on September 7, 2024 (Saturday).

This closure is necessary to safely complete the FOB installation. During this time, trains that usually stop or start at Platform No. 8 will be moved to other platforms. Passengers should check the updated train schedules and plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Additionally, all entrances and exits on the east side of Nagpur Station (Platform No. 8 side) will be blocked. Passengers are asked to use the west side entrance near Platform No. 1.

The following trains will be moved from Platform No. 8 to other platforms during this work:

- Train No. 12289, CSMT-Nagpur Duronto Express, will move to Platform No. 3.
- Train No. 22846, Hatia-Pune Express, will move to Platform No. 6.

- Train No. 12106, Gondia-CSMT Vidarbha Express, will move to Platform No. 3.
