Khamgaon’s Development Plan Unveiled by Devendra Fadnavis with ₹2,365 Crore Investment

Khamgaon, Buldhana, India: In a historic event for the Khamgaon Assembly constituency, the Mahayuti government announced a total of ₹2,365 crores for various development projects. The grand inauguration and foundation-laying(Bhoomipoojan) ceremony took place on October 6, 2024, at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar Palika Maidan.

The event was attended by, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with MLA Ad. Akash Dada Fundkar and other officials.

The development initiatives in Khamgaon include significant allocations across various departments, totalling ₹2,365 crores. The Water Resources Department has been allocated ₹1,248.80 crores, which includes ₹1,080 crores for an automated pressure-controlled water distribution system, ₹106 crores for upgrading existing water supply systems, ₹4 crores for special repairs and maintenance, ₹40.10 crores for the Jigaon project, and ₹17.05 crores for works in villages like Aojewan, Takli, and Hinganakar.

The Municipal Council of Khamgaon is set to receive ₹111.40 crores, designated for the renovation of lakes and water bodies (₹20.50 crores), infrastructure improvements (₹87 crores), and various small projects (₹3.59 crores). Furthermore, the Soil and Water Conservation Department has a budget of ₹100 crores, aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

The Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation is allocated ₹755 crores, with funds earmarked for improvements to National Highway 44 (₹452 crores) and enhancements on National Highway 259 (₹303 crores). 

Lastly, the Public Works Department in Khamgaon will receive ₹65.83 crores, which includes ₹25 crores for the construction and improvement of road infrastructure and ₹36.82 crores for protection works on various infrastructures.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with other officials, expressed their commitment to improving the living conditions and infrastructure in Khamgaon.
