Knife Attack at Fast Food Centre Leaves Assistant Cook Seriously Injured
Nagpur, India: A violent incident occurred on Sunday night at a fast food center in the Tehsil area when a man attempted to kill an assistant cook over a minor disagreement. The victim, identified as Shubham alias Sonu Dhawle (25), sustained serious head injuries and was quickly taken to a private hospital in Pachpaoli for treatment.
The assailant, Mohammad Afaq alias Salman Mohammad Israil (26), a resident of Mominpura near Kamal Baba Dargah, was apprehended by the police following the attack. According to police reports, Shubham was working at Moin Fast Food Centre when the incident took place.
Around 10 PM, Afaq entered the fast food center and plugged in his cellphone for charging. The charging wire accidentally came into contact with Malai Chicken Rolls that Shubham was preparing. When Shubham asked Afaq to adjust the charger properly, Afaq took offense, leading to a heated argument between the two.
In a fit of rage, Afaq pulled out a sharp knife and attacked Shubham, inflicting serious injuries. Shubham was left bleeding profusely and was rushed to Bhatnagar Hospital, where he is currently recovering.
Tehsil Police recorded Shubham's statement and have filed a case against Afaq under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
