Know How the Home Delivery Option Simplifies HSRP Installation

Nagpur, India: Vehicle owners in Nagpur are finding it difficult to get appointments for installing High Security Registration Plates (HSRP). Earlier, the booking website often crashed. Now, even after choosing a date, no time slots are available, leaving many frustrated.
According to the transport department, all vehicles registered before April 1, 2019, must have HSRP by June 30. The deadline was earlier set for March 31 but was extended. However, those trying to book appointments are seeing available dates as late as July 27, but no time slots to complete the booking.
The main reason for this delay is the shortage of fitment centres. Under the MH-31 registration, 12.59 lakh vehicles need HSRP, but only 31 centres are available. Similarly, under MH-49, 4.11 lakh vehicles are served by just 29 centres, causing long delays.
A home delivery option has been introduced, which has helped some users. Many have found this option successful, unlike direct appointments. Authorities are also looking into complaints about delays and inefficiencies at some fitment centres.
With the deadline approaching, vehicle owners are hoping for faster solutions to complete the HSRP process on time.
