Koradi Temple to Get ₹25 Crore Boost for Phase 3 and 4 Development

Nagpur, India: The Maharashtra government has approved ₹25 crore for the development of Shri Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Temple in Koradi, Kamptee taluka. This funding is part of the third and fourth phases of the temple’s development project, which has a total budget of ₹214.94 crore.

Earlier, ₹50 crore was allocated for the financial year 2023-24, followed by ₹20 crore in 2024-25. With this latest allocation, the total funds released for the ongoing fiscal year have now reached ₹70 crore.

The government had previously approved ₹140.76 crore for Phase 3 and ₹74.17 crore for Phase 4 of the project. Both phases were later merged without changing the budget, covering 16 specific development works within the temple premises.

The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) had also proposed ₹144.94 crore for further improvements. The newly allocated funds will be used as per administrative guidelines, with the district collector overseeing the implementation to ensure adherence to all conditions.

This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure and facilities at Shri Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Temple, a significant pilgrimage site in Nagpur district. The temple, located in the constituency of Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, is set to benefit greatly from these development efforts.
