'Laapataa Ladies' Selected as India’s Official Entry for Oscars 2025
Jio Studios and Aamir Khan Productions’ film Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, has captivated audiences with its engaging story and humor. The film, which has received widespread acclaim from both viewers and critics during its theatrical and OTT release, even had a special screening at the Supreme Court of India, attended by producers Aamir Khan and director Kiran Rao.
Now, Laapataa Ladies has achieved a significant milestone by being chosen as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025, marking a major achievement for the film and its team.
Kiran Rao expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I am deeply honoured and delighted that our film has been selected for the Academy Awards.
