Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) College Attains Autonomous Status
In a momentous development for Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), the University Grant's Commission (UGC) has approved autonomy for the esteemed institution. Previously affiliated to the RTM Nagpur University, LIT has long been striving to attain autonomy or Deemed University status, and its relentless efforts have finally come to fruition.
Recognized as an A+ Grade Institute, LIT has been diligently pursuing autonomy for several years. The Maharashtra Government had previously declared its intention to confer this status upon LIT, a decision that garnered significant support from the institute's alumni association, which had been keen on elevating their alma mater's stature.
The culmination of these concerted efforts has arrived as the UGC officially accepted the proposal to grant autonomy to LIT. This prestigious institution is now poised to chart its own course, enjoying greater academic and administrative independence. With autonomy, LIT will have the authority to design and modify its curriculum, introduce innovative teaching methodologies, and make strategic decisions aligned with its vision and goals.
